Fuerteventura Virgin of Carmen
It says that this has always been near sailors and fishermen and accompanied them on their trips at sea. In all maritime countries, on this day, is honored of the Virgin and a procession. Also waiting hours under the sun, with the scorching heat, the villagers are preparing at arrival of the Virgin in every way; doing boat parties, swimming in the sea with their children, spending a few hours on the beach with the family, or simply waiting. Once came the Virgin, accompanied by people in costume playing guitars and singing, and a crowd of villagers, it is placed on a boat festooned with plants and is made to go around followed by all the other boats ready for hours in water. It 'a party very beautiful to see, thanks to the heat (and not just the sun) of people waiting for this event all year.
